More Pictures

At one of the banjos. All over Italy's coasts in the summer there are bagnos. In the summer people from all over Europe stay in a hotel near the beach and go to their reserved spot with chairs and umbrellas. Every bagno is organised and professional, each has a resturant and bar, and you pay anywhere between $5-30 euros a day ( can be much more for a higher end banjo). There are sometimes a little cabin to store your beach items, extra clothes or what ever else you might want to take to the beach but not bring back to your hotel room or place you are staying.

In America something like this would be comparable to a private beach club. Aparently, no one goes to a "free" beach with their own umbrellas and chairs. I believe this is so because in California it is possible to go to the beach in January and in Italy the summer only consists of 3-4 months. Only.

At the top on a marble corry. This place is in the mountains (obviously) only 25 minutes away from the sea, Via Reggio. The views from the top are amazing. To bad on this day there was too much fog. You could still see all the way out to the sea in the pockets of the clouds.

Isola Santa, a small town on a very small lake ( its more like a pond). The town is nearly abandoned but there was one building that looks like it was getting ready to become a hotel.

Castellonuovo, there was a market here this day. Aparently it is recognized as a very good market for the area.

Literally, pocket espresso.

Drove past Ponte Del Diavola

We took then to Barga, one of our (and many other people as well) favorite towns in the Garfangana region

A trip to Cardoso, and we stayed at Gimmy's friends house there. My parents loved the area. How could anyone not it? It is so beautiful.
