After our Easter vacation in Calabria, Gimmy made a plan to stop in Positano for a couple of nights to celebrate our second year wedding anniversary. We broke off the Autrostrada (main freeway going north and south) near Salerno, and we drove along the coast to Positano.
This map only shows a few of the towns along the coast, there are actually many more than shown and it takes much longer than you think, it took about 2 hours from Salerno to Positano.

Driving threw one of the towns on the Amalfi Coast
You are really driving on the edge of the cliff and you can see the sea the entire time.
We made it to Positano and we found a great hotel and because it was "off-season" we were able to get the junior suite for only 100 euros. Great deal! We had 3 balconies, three.

So you must get to the top of the hill, which is where the main square of the town is. We took the tram. This is a view from the top.
