Positano and Capri...paradise

After our Easter vacation in Calabria, Gimmy made a plan to stop in Positano for a couple of nights to celebrate our second year wedding anniversary. We broke off the Autrostrada (main freeway going north and south) near Salerno, and we drove along the coast to Positano.
This map only shows a few of the towns along the coast, there are actually many more than shown and it takes much longer than you think, it took about 2 hours from Salerno to Positano.

Driving threw one of the towns on the Amalfi Coast

You are really driving on the edge of the cliff and you can see the sea the entire time.
We made it to Positano and we found a great hotel and because it was "off-season" we were able to get the junior suite for only 100 euros. Great deal! We had 3 balconies, three.

Che bel profumo! The flowers on the vines overhead scented this area so heavily and so wonderfuly.

On our way...

The trip was about 30 40 minutes, Gimmy was good to watch Sisi inside the boat so I could take photos from outside.

Coming up to Capri

The harbor of Capri

So you must get to the top of the hill, which is where the main square of the town is. We took the tram. This is a view from the top.

Shopping. EVERY high end designer is here, it puts Rodeo Drive to shame.

Historial building called the Pompeiana

I had thought I had seen the smallest truch ever...until I saw this one!

The amazing place we found for lunch at the end of our unforgettable hike!

And back to the main square for a gelato and a cafe!

Time to go back on the" fast boat" back to Positano... Ciao bella Capri!

Another shot of the harbor

This formation is called the Faraglioni, you can google it and find photos that are incredible and taken from differnt angles.

Going back, do you see that tiny white spot on the top of the hill... it's a house.
